Cotton fabrics. Fusible web appliqué collage. Pillowcase binding.

Technical challenges:  Got the idea that I wanted to do something with fabrics that had text on them, and this all came together in one afternoon. The backing is a black-and-white grid pattern and I discovered while cutting it out that the design had not been screen-printed straight onto the fabric, so the lines did not correspond nicely to the weave of the cloth. This happens sometimes but it usually makes no difference unless you need the lines to be, well, straight. Did the best I could to line it up.
