Cotton and cotton-blend fabrics. Hand-embroidered with cotton floss. Pillowcase backing.
Technical challenges: I had only a small narrow strip of fabric with the colorful grass design and was determined to use every millimeter. The cut-up pieces led to the three colorway variations and the decision to make three separate panels. Used fleece polyester batting (a free-table acquisition from a quilt guild meeting) to see how it would work. Since these pieces were not quilted the results were inconclusive. The finished panels don't drape as nicely as they would with cotton batting, but for a wall hanging that's not a problem.
