Grass Triptych

Cotton and cotton-blend fabrics. Hand-embroidered with cotton floss.
I had only a small narrow strip of fabric with the colorful grass design and was determined to use every millimeter. The cut-up pieces led to the three colorway variations and the decision to make three separate panels. Used fleece polyester batting (a free-table acquisition from a quilt guild meeting) to see how it would work. The finished panels don't drape as nicely as they would with cotton batting, but for a wall hanging that's not a problem.
