Cotton fabrics, origami paper. Fusible web appliqué. Machine-quilted along section borders, additional hand quilting with cotton floss.
I didn't have a template for the circles so our cocktail glass collection was very helpful. This was the first project in which I used fusible web (not efficiently) to attach the origami paper. To determine where to embroider, printed several copies of a photo of the appliquéd piece and experimented with different line combinations. Transferred lines with fabric marking pencils and stitched.
